Freebie Friday!

Can you believe Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner?  Where has the year gone? I love preparing for the holidays and sharing in that joy with my children.  Thanksgiving is such a fun time to connect with family and friends and to talk about the things we are most thankful for.
Christmas is such a joyful time of year. Every year in my small little town the community gets together at the local church and puts on a live Nativity program with lots of fun and inspirational Christmas songs as the local children tell the Christmas story.
I have totally skipped over Thanksgiving with this Christmas post, but I want you to have plenty of time to get prepared to share the excitement of Christmas with your families.

Free Thanksgiving Puzzle
Here is a fun and challenging holiday crossword puzzle. A great activity to have students build vocabulary and learn about the Thanksgiving holiday. One suggestion for use in elementary classes would be to have students complete as many as they can on their own and then work together or allow the use of reference materials. Younger students may find the word bank helpful.
