Where Were You on Sept 11th 2001?

Where were on Sept 11, 2001?  I was busily working at a homecare  when one of the nurses came rushing in and turned on the T.V.  The whole office gathered around the small T.V. and watched in horror the after effects of two planes crashing into the twin towers, the pentagon and a field.

Today I took the opportunity to talk to my children about that awful day.   We talked about the heroes that overtook the fourth plane and crashed it into an empty field. What brave men and women they were to give up their lives so that others could live. We talked about the firefighters and other volunteers that were faced with cleaning up the wreckage, caring for the victims and searching for lost loved ones.   I wanted my children to know what happened, but I didn't want them to just see the bad I wanted them to know there were miracles that happened as well. A girl from my hometown was suppose to be in the twin towers for a meeting with Jet Blue that morning, but she forgot something at home and went back to get it.  Because of that, she was not in the building when it was struck. There are many such stories of lives that were saved that day, so on this day let us remember those that lost their lives as well as those that witnessed miracles and had their lives spared.
